The Gasthof Rose was built by Simon and Maria Kröll around 1900. Over time, the inn became too small and was therefore expanded by son Simon Kröll and his wife Maria. The Kröll family always ran the inn with great love and a sense of tradition. To this day, it is still the home of the Mayrhofen music band. In 1987 the Gasthof Rose was handed over to the 3rd generation, Simon III. In 1989 the old Gasthof Rose was demolished and completely rebuilt.

Since autumn 2009, the 4th generation of the Kröll family has continued to run the family business with joy and pride.

"In order to continuously offer our guests the best comfort, many things have been rebuilt and newly constructed over the years":

2010: new, spacious buffet room; the dining room was extended by two cosy parlours "Ahnenstube" as well as "Hochzeitsstube", and our underground car park was expanded.
2011: second lift directly from the underground car park to the floors; new comfortable junior and family suites as well as a tower room.
2012: new bar area with bay window, flat screen TV in every room, fitness room with the latest TechnoGym endurance and strength equipment, great children's playroom with knight's castle and slide, climbing wall, memory, soft lego, table football, table tennis, 3D flat screen TV,...".
2017/2018: renovation and new construction of various rooms and suites like our "Kuschelnest" and the "Kuschelsuite" or also the rooms "Ursprung".
2019: The Rose Room became two beautiful feel-good rooms, called "RosaLia". Construction of "Depot" room = new ski and hiking depot consisting of lockable depot cupboards, this means safe storage space for every guest.
2020/2021: Modernisation of the bathrooms in all "Classic" double rooms.

BRAND NEW from winter 2021/22:
new wellness area with various saunas, ice fountain, showers, relaxation rooms, infrared loungers,... Our reception area will also receive a "facelift".

And the tradition continues - in 2007 Simon V. saw the light of day and in 2016 his sister Anabell.
